The third Spring/Summer 2010 Runway show is from Chanel’s Cruise Collection.I bet most of us still remember 2009’s strikingly beautiful runway shows I’ve ever seen, from the Venice Lido boardwalk setting to the 1920s throwback clothes. That show began at sunset, and I’ve never found myself wanting to attend any fashion show so much in my entire life. After that, all of us takes more expectaion for 2010, we wish we can see more striking things in Chanel’s 2010 runway show.

Wow,Chanel’s Cruise 2010 runway show just took place at Venice and now the ad campaign has surfaced. The photos were shot by Karl Lagerfeld featuring models Karen Elson and Baptiste Giabiconi in a dark antique hotel room with rich red curtains and bedsheets like his collection which was inspired by the Renaissance. The mood and the atmosphere seems right for the collection.

Venice has a genuine dark and mysterious side to it that fascinated me. I really like the Italian spirit and the Venetian lifestyle,” said Lagerfeld. “And let’s not forget that Coco Chanel came back to Venice for 10 years.” Lagerfeld broadens Mademoiselle’s vision, revisiting the diverse influences that have marked La Serenissima. Lagerfeld’s collection recalls Visconti’s stylised films and Venice’s sparkling society of the 1930s. Fabrics were inspired by the rich Venetian reds of the Renaissance, Fortuny’s prints, and the chiaroscuro technique of the great Italian masters.

In this collection, Karl Lagerfeld takes us on a journey against the background of the sunset over the Adriatic Sea. I’m absolutely in love with this collection, and I think this time it is striking enough.

  • Gucci’s men’s Spring/Summer 2010 Runway

200906234-1This month, we can watch most of the brands’ Spring/Summer 2010 Runway, if you want to catch up the new trend in the coming year, just come up with us.

Here the first Spring/Summer 2010 Collection we put it to the world most well noted fashion brand Gucci. What this time Gucci’s Design Director Frida Giannini bring to us? For the most part. Yes, Gucci’s men’s Spring/Summer 2010 runway includes all the white tailored pieces and slip-on shoes that we’ve come to expect from their men’s Spring/Summer season, but if previous years have been stand-out for their Euro-Bohemian motifs this coming year comes in stark contrast.

The collection get out of the previous motifs from South America and comprises of bold knits featuring quasi-Aztec prints. Giannini has herself cited the work of architect Oscar Niemeyer as the inspiration for the collection. Niemeyer, a modernist architect, has designed many notable buildings in Brazil. So we say folklore inspirations abound in this latest collection, but whether they’ll impress us as much as that of previous years is yet to be seen.

200906234-12I love this playful pattern shirt. It’s like tanagram pieces strewn over a gorgeous piece of cotton. The loafers in white with silver horesbit detail will be a staple come next spring.

200906234-13The casual jacket with nylon details on the left is perfect for chilly spring days, whereas the very light pair of shorts looks like a match to beach heaven.
