News of Fashion Designer Matthew Williamson
Posted on July 4th, 2009 No commentsNot long ago, Matthew Williamson launched the designer collection for H&M. Following up on Williamson’s limited fashion range that was launched April 23rd in around 200 H&M stores, the respected London designer has created a special collection that will be available in around 1,600 H&M stores worldwide. The collection will be in store longer than any H&M designer collaboration before. Added to this, Williamson has also designed a menswear range for the first time in his career taking inspiration from his own wardrobe, mixing a dapper young gentleman’s style with hot colors and covetable ethnic influences.
Matthew Williamson also launched his flagship store in New York, seeking to build an online presence that conveys the label’s vibrant, cutting edge fashion clothes for women and sets the designer as a leading presence online. A micro site, also created by Pod1 was launched to bolster the store’s opening in March, and has now given way to a fully scalable e-commerce website. The launch is supported by SEO & email marketing and will be closely followed by an online marketing & advertising campaign to promote a new fashion line.
This is exactly we consumers wanted.Pod1 founder Fadi Shuman commented: “As important as it is for all retail brands to give their consumers variety and opportunity to interact with their brand, for designers especially, it is vital to establish their brand image online. A dedicated online space like this one gives the consumer more knowledge of the designer and the designs, and gives them another method of purchase. For a celebrated designer of Matthew Williamson’s caliber, it is vital that his client-base can access all of this in one dedicated area, and for this digital campaign to bring the designer to a wider audience.”
