Top Three Trends in 2009 Fall
Posted on June 22nd, 2009 No comments
Here we conclude the top three fashion trends in 2009 Fall for your information.
The first would be Velvet for adults. Believe us it will be grow up this fall. It’s no longer a little-girl fabric, nor prissy and prim. Instead, you’ll wear sophisticated looks that are classic, soft, and feminine with a hint of toughness. The evening fabric showed up in bright colors at Marc Jacobs, looking burnt-out at Proenza, and etched at Prada, looking sexy and very trendy.
The second would be sexy thigh-high boot for disco dance. If there’s one thing shoe designers want you to buy this fall, that will be a sexy thigh-high boot. Every designer has a pair, and demure they are not. Prada makes country waders a bit more chic, while Rodarte goes for an otherworldly look in wrapped taupe leather. Isabel Marant’s boots are simple and cool, in black suede — the perfect pair to wear with anything.
The third would be these shiny, sparkly minidresses. The eighties revival isn’t complete without these shiny, sparkly minidresses. Balmain’s over-the-top version came in electric blue, while Nina Ricci kept it on the delicate side. Versace went back to its roots: bright mermaids. Cue “Gloria” on your iPods and relive a dancing decade. We’re loving DVF at beautcall. She really gets what women are after: intelligence and empowered sexuality. I am definitely for the mini dresses this fall. Actually this new designer S.LOVE that makes great dresses for the Fall.

Marc Jacobs’s New Back-to-School Capsule Collection
Posted on June 22nd, 2009 No comments
It is reported recently that Marc Jacobs has designed a back-to-school capsule collection for young girls. The collection is called “Don’t Miss the Marc.” And everything is under $200 and the collection is colorful and kitschy with floral, graphic and animal prints on leggings, denim skirts, tees and scarves.
The line consists of stretchy denim jeans (a cute “M” embellishes the back pockets), little denim skirts in gray and blue, soft jersey blazers in red and black, and an assortment of leggings, scarves, and T-shirts in an array of adorable prints. Our favorite is the Wildflower print, an animal motif that comes in a classic brown leopard and a bright, cheery purple that looks great covering a tee.
We all love the Marc Jacobs very much, not only because he’s a fashion genius with a tongue-in-cheek approach and penchant for retro when it comes to designing his Marc by Marc Jacobs line, but because he understands that we all have to check price tags in these special times. The limited edition collection will be available in stores and online starting August 1, just in time to plan what to wear on the first day of school.
